August 28, 2020 – For pony riders still wishing to compete in the USHJA Digital Pony Challenge, powered by DigitalHorseShow.com (DHS), entry dates have been extended. The USHJA Digital Pony Challenge hosts competition delivered digitally through DigitalHorseShow.com, the official sanctioned online horse show of the USHJA.

COMPETITION – Gives You the Edge!
The USHJA Digital Pony Challenge is a true competition where each entry is judged and scored. Results are tallied, and the top 10 receive digital ribbons, while the winners receive prizes from our awesome sponsors. Those with the most points in the hunter divisions win championships and more prizes! But competition isn’t limited to those who were going to Pony Finals or those who have a pony now. You can upload any over fences video from the past 12 months of competition, plus upload videos of you riding at home for the under saddle and presenting your pony in the model.
The USHJA Digital Pony Challenge is open to any rider eligible to show in respective pony divisions under USEF rules, and offers a variety of divisions and classes including regular pony hunters, green pony hunters, children’s pony hunters, pony equitation, and pony derby, plus fun classes like Playful Pony Pranks, Costume Class, and Pony Hunt Teams.

EDUCATION – You’re Always Learning with Horses (and Ponies!)
Educational opportunities are available through judge’s comments from our officials, Rachel Kennedy and Troy Hendricks, on every video submitted. When you enter the show, you can see every video in the show and the comments from the judges.
Not competing? You can watch all of the Digital Pony Challenge videos for FREE! Just sign up with a USHJA membership (also free!) and start learning.
Was there a round you had with a major hiccup that you wanted to fix? Or a minor issue that keeps happening? Get advice on identifying and fixing those concerns in the special “Review My Ride” class, a mini clinic opportunity where 11-time Pony Finals-winning trainer Patricia Griffith of Heritage Farm will give riders tips and feedback on uploaded videos through written and audio comments on the DHS platform to help them learn and improve their performance.
ENTERTAINMENT – Watch Ponies, Chat Ponies, It’s All Ponies All The Time
Anyone can register and watch the USHJA Digital Pony Challenge for free to get their pony fix. But in addition to watching, you can chat with other pony fans on the Digital Horse Show site!
Stay tuned for news about watching full classes live plus our awards broadcast with winner interviews, discussion with judges, and more!
